Beginning BeeKeeping

BeeKeeping is a fun hobby or production practice to get involved with during any stage of your life.   

If you are thinking about getting into BeeKeeping then you need to know some of the basics about BeeKeeping. 

The Wolfe County Extension Service has publications and resources from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture that can assist you in getting your BeeKeeping Operation off the ground.

If you live in Wolfe County, there is some cost-share assistance available in getting started with BeeKeeping.  You need to call the Wolfe County Conservation (606) 668-3111 to inquire about applying for the BeeKeeping Cost-Share Program.  Ask for Phyllis Amyx.
